75 corvette loses power at 70 mph

75 corvette loses power when on the highway at high speeds, it drops back to 40 mph and acts as if it's getting too much gas or too little? I've checked the cat converter it is just fine? Stumped It runs just great around town at lower speeds.

Check your fuel filter first. If in doubt change it out. Then install a fuel gauge and run it on the highway at the speeds in which you have the problem. After that we suggest looking at the ignition system, coil, points timing and the such! Let us know what you find!
