The fuse for my gauges keeps tripping on my '68-327 vette, so I took the console apart and disconnected each gauge and reconnected them one by one until the temperature gauge blew the fuse. Does this mean that my gauge has an internal short somehow? Or is it possible that because I used teflon on the sender the ground is no good, although I don't think that would make the fuse blow. Also, I put two D batteries from a flash light across the temp gauge and it jumped up to the highest reading and stayed there and has been there for a week now. Any help or how to bench test the gauge would be great, thanks.

"This website is a passion of mine, just as much as being a Corvette owner," says Chris. He was frustrated trying to find information on the internet about Corvettes which was was not biased or influenced somehow.
He has owned three Corvettes over the last twenty years and does not plan to stop owning one anytime soon.
