2002 Vet Owner

My 2002 Vet has the climate control system for AC and heat; however, the small panel doesn't luminate any longer. On occasion I can see a faint image....I can't tell what mode the AC is in?

How to fix?

Climate Module Buttons
by: New C5 Owner

Hello,

I LOVE my new C5!

The lower row of buttons on my module are cracking. I was hoping to find replacement buttons, but am told they don't exist.

I'm on the hunt for a cheap replacement controller to either salvage the buttons off of or to replace the entire unit.

In searching, I'm finding there are various part numbers for what looks like the same part.

Any suggestions or tips on how to approach getting my controller in the condition I want it?

Dual Zone Panel
by: Corvette-web-central

This is very common problem for the dual zone climate control panel. See this page for more info
Follow this link to our C5 Air-conditioning problems page

You have the lights in the buttons which is what is listed below and then you have the LCD panel itself...If the LCD is not working you will require a new panel see P/N listed below.
Chevrolet Corvette C5 - Automatic Climate Control Panel P/N : 16266031
12V/50mA Incandescent Bulb Model: P/N 272-1154 Qauntity: 14
The Corvette Air Conditioning dual zone climate controllers are notorious for this failure! The base HVAC controller is much more reliable. Usually unless you are a DIY type of guy and want to fix dim lights you will end up buying a new, salvage or exchange part. Changing the part is pretty straight forward and requires removing the center console and radio bezel. Unscrewing the controller and disconnecting the wiring is pretty basic.
