2001 service colum lock?

My corvette will start and run well back up fine and once I try to shift and go forward it stalls out. It reads "SERVICE COLUM LOCK" do not have a key for colum lock and have never used it. The car ran perfect before this colum light came on.
I have disconnected the battery to reset computer as well as letting it idle after that.
