1997 vette won't sart when weather is cold

My 1997 corvette fails to start when the temperature gets around freezing. I have replaced the battery even though the car was not behaving like a battery problem. On cold mornings when I turn the key the radio will play, fan comes on, all systems operate but there is no response whatsoever, clicking grinding etc when I try to crank. I can wait until the temperature comes up and the car starts fine and battery shows 14.1

POS battery cable

I would recommend changing out the battery cables. I have experienced this problem before and after much testing including bench-testing the starter, it turned out to be an intermediate issue in the positive battery cable.
