Good afternoon
I have a 1997 corvette auto trans and manual climate temp controls. For the past several weeks when the car sits overnight the next morning when I start the car and cut the heat on nothing works. No blower motor and non of the controls on the climate control work. Well after about 20 minutes or so the heat will finally come on the the heat works perfectly fine. All 5 fan speeds work vent selection works. You can cut the heat off and on with on issues but if you let the car cool off for a couple hours then the process starts all over again and it takes 20 plus minutes for the heat to come back on.
I bought a new blower motor resistor and put it in yesterday and it still has the same issue. I test the blower motor today by dumping it off the battery and the blowers works with no problem. I replaced the 2 two gray relays by the bcm in the toe well of the passenger side but the problem is still there. Could the climate temp controller be going bad? I really need help resolving this issue
Thanks
Established in 2008 by Chris Trautman, Corvette Web Central quickly grew into one of the top leading Corvette enthusiast websites globally.
"This website is a passion of mine, just as much as being a Corvette owner," says Chris. He was frustrated trying to find information on the internet about Corvettes which was was not biased or influenced somehow.
He has owned three Corvettes over the last twenty years and does not plan to stop owning one anytime soon.
