1978 corvette restoring and power windows will not work

While restoring my 1978 corvette my power windows will not work. I have power to the power window relay and when I bypass the relay and run power to the pink lead going to the switches I can control the windows both up and down. I have replaced the power window relay and made sure I have a ground but still will not work when plugged into the relay.
