My door ajar light does not work from either door. The switch shaft on the driver side door is broken and the switch needs to be replaced. With the ignition switch on I check, with a volt meter, the contacts (2) on the plug that mates to the back of switch, no 12 volts present. If the door ajar light bulb is burnt out will that prevent me getting 12 volts at the switch plug ? As for the passenger side door ajar switch, I have not check yet if the electrical plug is attached to the back of the switch. I can't unscrew switch because the rivets that hold in the mounting bracket are broke and bracket rotates behind the fiberglass. I'll have to remove the inspection cover in the wheel well to access the bracket.
Established in 2008 by Chris Trautman, Corvette Web Central quickly grew into one of the top leading Corvette enthusiast websites globally.
"This website is a passion of mine, just as much as being a Corvette owner," says Chris. He was frustrated trying to find information on the internet about Corvettes which was was not biased or influenced somehow.
He has owned three Corvettes over the last twenty years and does not plan to stop owning one anytime soon.
