1970 Corvette will not start until I release the ignition key

1970 Corvette 454 4-speed: I added T/T HEI
When vehicle is cold it will not start. I have to turn key multiple times. It may start when I release the ignition key but no guarantees. After car has warmed up. It will start with just a turn of the ignition key. Let it sit overnight and the problem begins once again.
