1968 corvette wiper over drive light stays on

I have a 1968 corvette and my wiper over drive light stays on all the time and the wiper door opens when I start the vehicle. The headlight doors work fine with no problem. As long as the car is running the wiper door will stay open. When I turn the car off the wiper door can be closed manually.
